September 2026 Product & Platform Update
A closer look at Stripe payments, stronger SEO tools, and the AI Assistant milestone.
September 2026 · eStoreware USA

This September recap follows our August introduction to the plugin suite. We are focusing on payment workflows and two tools that deserve their own introduction: SEO Manager and AI Assistant. Published October 7, 2026 as the September recap.
The expanded Stripe payment experience
Stripe Payments brings embedded card entry, saved payment methods, customer card management, 3D Secure, authorization and capture, refunds, webhooks, store-specific settings, and recurring-payment administration into nopCommerce.
For customers
- Enter a card inside checkout.
- Reuse an eligible saved payment method.
- Manage saved cards from their account.
- Complete cardholder verification when required.
For store teams
- Review transactions and renewal activity.
- Configure payment settings for the intended store.
- Choose capture or authorization workflows.
- Use Core's shared recurring-billing workspace.
Setup still matters: use matching test or live keys and webhook secrets, test your checkout extensions, and confirm payment status in both systems. Stripe fees are separate.
SEO Manager has moved beyond basic metadata checks
The current 2.51 codebase combines prioritized audits, metadata and content tools, duplicate resolution, structured data, sitemaps and robots controls, redirects and 404 tracking, internal linking, image SEO, Search Console, and performance monitoring. The Command Center brings stored signals into a prioritized action list and client report.
The AI SEO Assistant drafts metadata, content, and primary-image ALT text for review and explicit application. It does not publish those drafts automatically.
AI Assistant 1.0 package prepared
The September 30 package brings together storefront product and policy answers, SKU/model search, comparisons, confirmed cart additions, read-only signed-in account answers, and a permission-controlled admin copilot. Admin base-price changes require a preview and confirmation.
Version 1.0 packages the existing 0.84 feature set; it does not add new business actions. Local package checks passed, and focused staging evidence exists for 0.84. Environment-specific verification is still required before a broad 1.0 rollout.
Saved PayPal accounts and shared recurring billing
The PayPal implementation includes opt-in saved-account tokens and recurring-payment support. These depend on PayPal approval for saved payment methods/reference transactions. Confirm account eligibility before planning a rollout. Core provides the shared recurring-billing entry point.
October: deeper SEO, AI, and operational improvements
The October issue reviews SEO workflows in more detail and covers the newer quote, commission, product-feed, and payment-reliability work.
